Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
FLASHIRO ("we", "us") is an event discovery app that shows events from around the world on a map. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and honest.
1. What we collect
Account information (only if you create an account). Your email address, and the name/username you provide. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email (or Apple's private relay address if you choose "Hide My Email") and your name if you share it. Passwords for email accounts are handled by our authentication provider (Google Firebase) — we never see or store them ourselves.
Your preferences. The event categories you select in My Tastes, the events you save, and the names of cities you search for (to power your "Recent cities" shortcuts). These are linked to your account so they follow you across devices.
Guest mode. You can use FLASHIRO without an account. In that case, your tastes are stored only on your device and never reach our servers.
Location. With your permission, we use your device's location to center the map and show events near you. Your GPS position is processed on your device and is not stored on our servers.
Search queries. When you search for a place by name, the place name is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim geocoding service to find its coordinates. Event-name searches are processed entirely on your device.
2. What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not show you targeted advertising.
- We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We do not collect your contacts, photos, or files.
3. Service providers
We rely on a small number of providers to run FLASHIRO:
- Google Firebase (authentication and database, United States) — stores your account, tastes, and saved events.
- Apple / Google Sign-In — if you choose these sign-in methods.
- Cloudflare — delivers our public event data files. No account data is involved.
- OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) — converts searched place names into map coordinates.
Each provider processes data only as needed to provide its service.
4. Event information
The events displayed in FLASHIRO are aggregated from publicly available sources. Event pages may contain links to external websites (such as ticket sellers). Those sites have their own privacy policies — we encourage you to read them.
5. How long we keep your data
As long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your profile, tastes, saved events, and search history are permanently deleted from our systems. If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke the Apple sign-in token, as required by Apple.
6. Deleting your account
- In the app: Menu → Account → Delete Account. This is immediate and irreversible.
- By request: email us at support@flashiro.com from the address linked to your account, and we will delete it for you.
7. Children
FLASHIRO is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with our providers' industry-standard protections. No system is 100% secure, but we design FLASHIRO to collect as little as possible — the best protection for data is not having it.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g., GDPR in Europe, CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can exercise most of these directly in the app, or by emailing support@flashiro.com.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, when appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of FLASHIRO after changes means you accept the updated policy.
